Break Even reunite to tour 2015 – release new single, “Young & Bright”

unnamed-2

Having left a legacy in the punk / hardcore community across Australia and around the world back in 2012, BREAK EVEN have re-grouped and are gearing up to hit the road again in 2015.

Break Even’s honest and heartfelt approach to songwriting has left a lasting impression on the hardcore community. Their new song “Young & Bright” premiered on Short.Fast.Loud last night on Stu Harvey’s final show – a solidifying testament to the band’s importance. “Young & Bright” speaks as not only a fond memory, but a celebration of what’s to come.

“We wrote the song with a sense of nostalgia about everything we had been through as not only a band, but as people; how those experiences have impacted our lives,” the band explains.

“Sadly, Break Even ended abruptly so we never had the chance to thank everyone the way we wanted to. We played our last show in 2012, but there have always been constant reminders of the music, to the extent where it has never truly left our hearts.

“”Young & Bright” is a thank you song to everyone who has supported our music, us as people, and us as a band over the years. 2015 will see Break Even release the record we never got to finish. Without your loyalty and support we wouldn’t be who and where we are today. Thank you.”

Break Even will tour Australia in February and March, headlining the I’d Rather Be Giggin’ 2015 tour with supports from HopelessEndless Heights, and Post Blue.

For I’d Rather Be Giggin’ 2015, the band has also teamed up with headspace, Australia’s national youth mental health foundation, in efforts to raise awareness within the music community.

“Don’t ever forget the days when the sun shined bright on your young heart”
