Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have returned! Carter recently premiered his brand new killer track, ‘Snake Eyes’ on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, where she picked it as her Hottest Record In The World. To accompany the track, the band have released a mesmerising and jaw dropping new video. Directed by Ross Cairns, it has surprised fans and friends of the band and has an ending worth holding out for. ‘Snakes Eyes’ has already picked up a heap of praise out of the UK with spins on BBC Radio 1,
Radio X, play listed on Apples’ Beats 1 and scoring Best New Track with NME.
Talking about the track Carter explains, “Snake eyes is an honest attempt at trying to understand my fervent struggle with depression. It’s like a fly on the wall in my hotel room. At midnight, in the middle of a tour while I am sick and drunk and the fly is a giant, bellowing beast of a burden that no matter how I try I just can’t escape. We have all been there and everyone’s problems take different shapes. Mine are
the snake eyes looking back at me every time I roll the dice. Challenge yourself. You will prevail”.
“I wanted the Snake Eyes video to be wild and sexy and I wanted it to have an air of discomfort about it. It’s a voyeuristic look at what can only be described as an intensely developing relationship between two sides. I wanted the video to challenge the viewer’s ideas of my character, my band, and stereotypes of all kind. No one person can be defined as a single line, we are all made up of multiple complex threads. This video is about cutting the rope and pulling out each thread and celebrating those differences by baring
them with confidence and pride.”
Picking up where they have left off, less than a year since the release of debut album ‘Blossom’, Carter is
not wasting any time keeping the Rattlesnakes juggernaut in motion. ‘Snake Eyes’, produced by Thomas
Mitchener and mixed by Catherine Marks, is a ferocious signal of what is to come; building on what Carter
and the Rattlesnakes have achieved and expanding on it. Pushing it in a new direction and being careful
not to tread the same boards and cover the same ground, ‘Snake Eyes’ is the sound of something new
and a hint to what is to come from Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes in the future.
The band has also announced a slew of headline dates across Europe in 2016 plus performances at Roskilde Festival, Reading and Leeds Festival.
‘SNAKE EYES’ IS THE FIRST SINGLE TAKEN FROM THE BANDS FORTHCOMING ALBUM AND IS OUT NOW VIA THE BANDS OWN LABEL ‘INTERNATIONAL DEATH CULT’ AND KOBALT LABEL SERVICES.
