Who are you and what are you doing here?
Hey! My name is Seiichi Daimo, I am a songwriter, and I’m here to promote my debut EP “In The Inbetween” which will be available on Feb 25th!
How did your music career start?
I always new I wanted to write songs. It was something that I was drawn to since I was little. I would say when my perspective changed from a passion to wanting to do this as a career was when I was in high school I was in a band and we were starting to take things seriously.

How would you describe your music?
I would say soulful, acoustic, singer songwriter, pop.

If you had to choose one song you’ve written that best defines your sound which one would it be?
That’s tough. I feel each song takes you to a different part of who I am as a songwriter. If I had to pick one I’d have to say the title track from the EP “In The Inbetween” it’s serious, yet fun, and a little weird.
In this day and age where anyone is pretty much able to pick up an instrument, what would you say sets your band apart from the rest?
Well there is a lot in that question. I don’t necessarily think that that is a bad thing. Self expression is awesome! And music and art isn’t a competition. I encourage anyone with an interest in writing a song to do so, it will feel great! For me songwriting is such an organic thing. It’s therapy, it’s self expression, it’s honesty, and connection. I feel like my experiences have given me a unique perspective and that i have something to offer in my songs.

Where are people able to hear your songs?
You will have to wait just a little longer. The EP will be available on February 25th and it will be streaming on all major websites and for sale on iTunes!

Are you playing any shows anytime soon?
Yes, very soon. I will be playing some shows to promote the EP in a few major cities Austin, LA, San Francisco, Philly, and NYC. Dates to be announced. You can check out seiichidaimomusic.com for updates!

What is your proudest moment/greatest achievement as a musician?

Well for me my proudest moment is right now. This is my Debut EP and so it has a special place in my heart. I’m very proud of what my producer Joseph Stasio and I were able to create and can’t wait to share it with everyone!

Tell us 3 bands that we should be listening to/be keeping an eye out for?
The Ugly Club, Lilly and the Parlor Tricks, and Seiichi Daimo!

Anything Else you’d like to add?
Not too much. Thanks for taking the time to ask these questions. I like to leave my interviews with a couple phases of mine. ” make this life your art” and “shine bright”!
