Interview – The Cavalcade

The Cavalcade

With a brilliant new EP just released and a big year ahead of them, The Cavalcade have come out swinging and ready to bring their take melodic key board driven rock into the world! We had Keyboardist Jake answer some of our questions.

Who are you and what are you doing here? (what is your name, what is the band and what is your role in the band?)

My name is Jake, And i play Keyboard in The Cavalcade

How did the band start?

The band started between a few friends a few years back after a few member changes and name changes we have been as this line up for a few years now.

How would you describe your band?

I would describe The Cavalcade as a well oiled machine.

If you had to choose one song you’ve written that best defines your band which one would it be?

If it was one song personally it would be “Watch them fall” Buy the EP, Listen to the message inside.

In this day and age where anyone is pretty much able to pick up an instrument, what would you say sets your band apart from the rest?

We are best friends, If you can sit in the company of the same 4 guys for days on end with out killing each other your meant to be doing what you’re doing.

The Cavalcade, are 4 very passionate guys we live to do what we are doing and i am so happy I’m doing it with who i am.

Where are people able to hear your songs?

You can buy our brand new self titled EP from our Big Cartel:

You’ve just released your new Ep. What was different about the writing and recording process this time around?

This time was extremely different. We had a bigger budget and we took a lot more time to get this record out. We had the pleasure of working with “Lachlan Mitchell” And he showed us a lot of great things of the recording side and song writing side. He really pushed us to get the best product.

Are you playing any shows anytime soon?

We have a lot of regional shows in the works going to a lot of towns touring bands seem to skip.

We are doing our first international tour in july and touring the major cities of Australia in August

What is your proudest moment/greatest achievement as a band?

the proudest moment for me is the reaction of our debut video, It was the first taste of our new material. And the first time we had done a proper video.

Check it out!

Tell us 3 bands that we should be listening to/be keeping an eye out for?
