Who are you and what are you doing here? (what is your name, what is the band and what is your role in the band?)

Hello, my names Jesse and I play bass in a new Punk Rock band from Wollongong called ‘jacob’

How did the band start?

It started when the guitarist Andrew decided he wanted to start a band so he found some pals through facey. Then Andrew asked me to play bass even though I had never played an instrument in my life.

How would you describe your band?

Our band is a Kid friendly Punk Rock band from Wollongong. I have no idea how we came up with the idea to be like this but it seems to be working for us. We also like to do boy things all the time like playing dress ups, drinking beer and riding bikes. I think because of how mature and funny we all are that’s the reason we all work well together as we have all became pretty good friends.

If you had to choose one song you’ve written that best defines your band which one would it be?

Probably the first song we released. It’s a little song called ‘Old’ and the lyrics don’t define us at all but its about old men who still play in bars to hopefully sell a couple of albums but they so silly and serious. There are a few more songs coming out over the weeks so have a sticky beak!

In this day and age where anyone is pretty much able to pick up an instrument, what would you say sets your band apart from the rest?

Considering I just started playing bass I’m probably one of these people but the other 3 are very good at their instruments. Jack our drummer, just won fastest snare drummer in Wollongong, our singer Chris is perfect for the singer and is just what we were looking for and Andrew has played in a couple of other bands and has fun writing songs. Apart from that we like kids and don’t take ourselves too seriously. It’s just a bloody dance party.
