Who are you and what are you doing here? (what is your name, introduce yourself)
Hello we are Night Panther. Pleasure To Meet You.
How did you become a performer?
When I was younger I only had ears for Nickleback, Creed, Korn etc. My uncle heard I was growing my hair long and for Christmas he gave me a copy of “Electric Ladyland”. It changed my life forever.
How would you describe your sound?
It would be somewhere along the lines of Freddie Mercury singing on top of a Yaz track. Vocal melodies and harmony are very important to us. It’s not enough to just be a dance band.
If you had to choose one song you’ve written that best defines you, which one would it be?
Our songs are a bit of a grab bag, so I would say that our collective body of work is what describes us best.
In this day and age where anyone is pretty much able to pick up an instrument, what would you say sets you apart from the rest?
It’s not about what you have, it’s what you do with it. We heavily scrutinize every aspect of the recording process. We’re very picky.
Where are people able to hear your songs?
We are taking a break until December 28th to further improve our live performance. We would love to come to Australia, hopefully very soon.
What is your proudest moment/greatest achievement as an artist?
One of the coolest moments as Night Panther was sharing a stage with Holy Ghost. We also just finished scoring music for ABC’s, “Mixology”. That was a great honor.
Tell us 3 bands that we should be listening to/be keeping an eye out for?
Midnight Magic, Pleasure Curses, & Yung Life
