Introducing – Printz Board

printz-board

You may not know him but you have definitely heard what he can do. I introduce to you Printz Board

Who are you and what are you doing here??

Printz Board. Im here to let people know that there’s someone who’s been ‘behind the front’ that’s bringin it to your face now. I want the world to know who I am, as much as they know the music that I’ve made.

How did your music career start?

I started when I was 10 years old – playing trumpet, but I’d say it all began with a little song I wrote called “Where Is The Love” (Black Eyed Peas).

How would you describe your music?

My music is everything that is ‘fun’.  You like to party, you like to be in love, you like to live dangerously, you like to have a few drinks, you like to be naked, etc..

If you had to choose one song you’ve written that best defines your sound which one would it be?

Overall, from this debut album, I’d choose “Hey You” because it lets be whatever whoever you wanna be. Its grimey, its pop, its hiphop, its rock, its fun.

In this day and age where anyone is pretty much able to pick up an instrument, what would you say sets your band apart from the rest?

Well, I disagree that ‘anyone can just pick up an instrument, unless we are classifying laptops as instruments. The art of pushing buttons is vastly different than the art of spontaneous composition on the stage. My musicians bring it like it’s their last show, every show. I have Lucy Graves on keys, Patty Miller on drums, Derek Brassel on gtr/bass and my co-host (hypeman) is Texacal. You will see an exhuberant amount of energy smack you in the forehead when these guys and gals rock it.

Where are people able to hear your songs?

People can check out my stuff on printzboard.com, vevo.com, youtube, com, itunes, etc… All the major outlets where you would get any other musician, artist, or band.

Are you playing any shows anytime soon (if you live outside of Australia, do you have any plans for a trip down under)?

Im planning to come down to Oz in November. I wont be doing any ‘Printz Board’ shows until next year tho. I have to hit quite a few here in the States before I can bring the band out!

What is your proudest moment/greatest achievement as a musician?

Id say that getting my first #1 song on the charts made me tingle a great deal..

Tell us 3 bands that we should be listening to/be keeping an eye out for?

Lindsey Jenningz, Texacal and David Anthony…

Anything Else you’d like to add?

Id like to add that I really love Oz, and Im friends with several of your artist over there: Jessica Mauboy, Tamara, Cassie Davis, Johnny Ruffo, Prinnie, Guy Sebastian, 1200 Techniques, and so on.. And I have to say that EVERYONE has the greatest energy. It must be something in the water…
