Who are you and what are you doing here?

Aaron Schnider -Lead guitar

Corey Gee- Drum’s

Karen Welsh- Bass

Ben Wilson -Rhythm Guitar, Vocals

How did the band start?

Aaron and Corey making demos but Ben really influenced us to write our own music.

How would you describe your band?

Ugly Mundays would be best described as four mates who act like out of primary school kids, just grown up who are as close as quadruplet brothers. Together almost every day writing music playing covers listening to our favourite bands on vinyls, CDs and tapes and being as ugly as possible 24/7 without even meaning it.

If you had to choose one song you’ve written that best defines your band which one would it be?

Lost junkie. Because it’s a short jam it’s loud it gets UGLY and its a phat track that when it’s over you wish it went for longer!

In this day and age where anyone is pretty much able to pick up and instrument, what would you say sets your band apart from the rest?

You could start off listening to our demos thinking we are your average alternative rock band but gradually listen to different tracks you notice a vast Variety of genres and emotions coming from our music grunge vibes with punk feelings.

Where are people able to hear your songs?

Fans can grab a dose of ‘Dream’ from Bandcamp or some ‘Mary Jane’ from our triple j unearthed profile We also have some covers up on Soundcloud and YouTube.

Are you playing any shows anytime soon?

We have a festi called überfest happening on the 8th and Latham’s Grip on 1st pumped for these gigs. coming up in September we are expected to play some house gigs for friends. Which is Always going to be fun.

What is your proudest moment/greatest achievement as a band?

Playing alongside SA band Grenadiers who were at the time the triple j feature artist of the week at rad bar, it was an achievement and getting asked to open up for waxhead from Byron Bay but unfortunately not being able to play that show.

Tell us 3 bands that we should be listening to/be keeping an eye out for?

Kaleidoscope, these boys are ready for air time someone give it to them. Love buzz another one of Ben’s projects that’s blowing up. Can’t forget Muddy Chanter we met these brissy boys at a show we played with them, they are just legendary.
