Sydney based Grunge Power-Pop outfit The Dead Love have just announced the release of their latest banger ‘Wastelands’, which is taken from their forthcoming sophomore album.
‘Wastelands’ displays a brand new dynamic for The Dead Love, highlighting their signature 90’s Grunge sound. The single was self-produced by the band in true DIY style and encapsulates a new sonic direction for the band.
Whilst developing a reputation as one of Sydney’s most impressive, no-nonsense live outfits, The Dead Love have shared stages locally and abroad with the likes of Dune Rats, The Smith Street Band, Everclear, British India, Aerosmith, Kingswood, The Delta Riggs, Born Lion, Calling All Cars, Closure In Moscow, Van Halen, Luca Brasi and The Love Junkies, just to name a diverse few.
The Dead Love teamed up with Grammy nominated producer Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith (Jet, The Toadies, The Dandy Warhols) to record their debut album Transitions in Austin Texas in 2013, which debuted at number 5 on the ARIA Rock Charts.
‘Transitions’ received an extremely warm reception from fans and media alike, with singles ‘This is a War’, ‘The Desert Sun’, ‘Back To You’ and ‘Zombie Ghost Town’ receiving traction via Video Hits, Channel [V], Rage, Triple J and countless others.
‘Wastelands’ has already claimed Number 1 on the Triple J Unearthed Punk Charts, and will be available for download on iTunes in the coming days.
