Today marks the day that melodic hardcore upstarts from Newcastle Trophy Eyes sign to US label Hopeless Records. The label is excited to announce the band will be recording their first full length in June 2014 and will be set for release later in the year.
The group’s manager Eddie Deal has said he and the band are estastic about the move and had the following to say –
“We were totally humbled by the attention we received from the EP and would like to thank everyone for their support on this amazing journey so far. After months of discussing options, we have found Hopeless Records to be the label that aligned with our vision perfectly and they have been like family to us. It’s a very exiciting time and we look forward to a long and healthy relationship with the team at Hopeless”.
The 5 piece punk outfit shot to the forefront of the hardcore scene with their emotionally driven EP ‘Everything Goes Away’and fast gained fans across the globe with their fresh blend of Melodic Hardcore and Pop Punk.
In their short time as an outfit, they have toured the country relentlessly with their hard work ethic and humble approach. OnFebruary 14th they were also crowned winners of Triple J Unearthed’s Sydney Soundwave competition.
In celebration to announcing the signing, the band will also be releasing some east coast tour dates later in the week.
